About Charter Realty

Two offices, a team of local agents, and a simple promise: experience working for you.

Who we are

Charter Realty is an independent Ohio real estate brokerage with offices in Kenton and Ada. We sell homes, farms, land and commercial property across Hardin County and nine neighbouring counties.

Our owners, Jeff and Laura Buroker, built the business on the values they still run it by: honesty, integrity and service. Most of our agents grew up here, went to school here and raised families here. That matters when you are deciding which township to buy in, how a well or septic system should be inspected, or what a piece of land is really worth.

What we do

  • Residential sales — first homes, move-up homes, country property and investment houses.
  • Farm, land and acreage — tillable ground, pasture, building lots and recreational land.
  • Commercial — storefronts, offices, warehouses and industrial buildings.
  • Buyer representation — including an Accredited Buyer Representative on staff.
  • Listing and marketing — pricing advice, photography, showings and negotiation.

The two offices

Our Kenton office at 1420 S. Main Street is the main listing office and is open Monday–Friday 9:00–6:00 and Saturday 9:00–12:00. The Ada office at 117 E. Lincoln Ave. serves Ada, Bluffton, Lima and the surrounding communities and is open Monday–Friday 9:00–5:00.

Between the two we cover Hardin, Allen, Auglaize, Logan, Marion, Hancock, Putnam, Union, Wyandot and Champaign counties. If your property sits outside that footprint, call us anyway — we will tell you honestly whether we are the right brokerage for it.

How we work with you

  1. We listen first

What you need, what you can spend, and what you are not willing to compromise on.

  2. We give you the numbers

Comparable sales, days on market and the honest condition issues — not just the highlights.

  3. We handle the paperwork

Offers, counter-offers, disclosures, inspections and the co-ordination that gets you to closing.

  4. We stay available

Local numbers, local offices, and agents you can actually reach.

Fair housing

We follow the Ohio Fair Housing Law and the Federal Fair Housing Act in every transaction. Read our fair housing statement.
